Single boat Wakesurfing: the endless wake.
The rope length should be about 20' off of your pole or tower. The speed will
vary depending on the kind of boat and the amount of weight you have in it.
Take time to experiment. Most of the weight should be in back of the boat and on one side which will make the curl crisp. If your left foot forward weight go's on the left side and if your right foot forward put the weight on the right. Drive in a straight line. You'll know you're going fast enough when the white water is about a foot off the swim deck. Do not use inboard/outboards or outboards.
Wakeboard-style starts are the most popular for Wakesurfing. You will want
your weight evenly distributed on the board in a wide stance. Hold onto the rope
lightly as you learn where your balance needs to be. Don't let go until you catch the
wave. When you
actually start to free surf, throw the rope. Make sure there is someone in the boat
to retrieve it, so there is no chance of getting it tangled.
